What happened in 2020!

California Clean Air Day is all about people taking action.

We’re thrilled that so many Californians came together this year – over 1.6 million Californians completed over 3.1 million actions to clear the air!

And Californians who pledged to clear the air followed through: 94% completed at least one of their pledge actions. Check out more stats from California Clean Air Day 2020 below, and save the date: the next California Clean Air Day will be on October 6, 2021!

Come learn how you can combat air pollution by planting your own garden and speak with SF Commissioner on the Environment, Eddie Ahn! We can all do our part to create cleaner air and healthier communities by volunteering at the farm, gardening at home, choosing to bike or take public transport, and purchasing locally-grown produce to reduce fossil fuel emissions from transportation. We are excited to announce a special opportunity for you to take action to purify our air by growing your own oak tree! 🌳 Swing by from 2-5 pm tomorrow (10/7) for a contact-less, outdoor pickup of a free tree-growing kit to grow a native oak tree from home! Native trees and plants protect the air we breathe by creating oxygen and sequestering carbon. They also provide many other benefits... they provide habitat and food for wildlife, they provide shade, their roots help hold together the soil, preventing erosion and protecting water quality.
